Test screenings have always been an important part of films made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. Following that trend, a test screening of their upcoming film 'Secret Superstar' was organised in Mumbai last week which was attended by people mainly not associated with the film industry. However a few known faces like Aditya Chopra, Victor Acharya and Amit Trivedi were also present.
According to Aamir Khan, test screenings have always been necessary for him as they help him understand various aspects of a film from a neutral prospective.
While speaking to media yesterday, Aamir said, "When you make a film you become so subjective and close to it, you often lose your objectivity. But during test screening when I share the rough cut with a group of people who are completely out of the film business, their feedback brings a different aspect ".
"I think it is very important to understand how our cine our communication is being received and if there is any miscommunication we can correct that before the film releases. So we invite random people show them the film and take feedback " said Aamir.

Trivedi said, "I had been working on Secret Superstar for almost 18 months. Despite knowing the film inside out and watching it innumerable times to score every scene, I still got emotionally moved after watching the test screening. Now that's the power of a great film. This film is timeless and has a tremendous repeat value."The director of the film, Advait Chandan couldn't stop crushing over his own work of art and urged everyone to watch it.
'Secret Superstar' starring Zaira Wasim is a story of a girl's teenage dreams to become a famous singer and how she changes lives of people around her while pursuing the dream. The film is set to release globally this Diwali on 19th October.
