After spending two days in Istanbul, Aamir Khan on Friday arrived at the Turkish capital, Ankara. He was formally received by Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş. Hundreds of enthusiastic fans gathered at Ankara's Esenboga Airport to greet Aamir.

Aamir met with the government officials of Turkey in a press conference at Ankara Palace. He stated in the media interaction about how he always wanted to visit the country and thanked the people of Turkey for their love and warmth.

"My first interaction with people of Turkey was about 5 years ago. When I started getting messages from them on Twitter , Facebook and other social media accounts, I realized this. Until then I did not even know that people in Turkey watch my films. I was so happy when I found out. My first impression of Turkey was about the Turkish people. I always receive a very warm, loving and passionate trail from them."

Later in the evening, a grand fan meeting was arranged at CerModern, Ankara. Fans started pouring in at the place in large numbers much before time. At a first glance, one may think the gathering was for some rock concerts or political rallies, but who would say it's for an Actor from a foreign country. Such is the charm and crowd-pulling ability of Aamir Khan.
