Day 1 : Aamir Khan in Turkey. Fans get emotional meeting their idol.



Aamir Khan's first day turned out to be a red letter day in Turkey as the fans kept turning up at huge numbers through out the day to catch a glimpse of their favorite superstar.

The Turkish people were ecstatic to see the man so close and some even broke down in tears after meeting their idol for the very first time. Undoubtedly, the craze for Aamir in Turkey is something words can't depict.

Soon after Aamir reached Istanbul, a press conference was called for where he gave his very first interview to the Turkish media, speaking about the love he has received from the people of Turkey over the years and why he craved to visit the country for so long. He also took the opportunity to talk about his upcoming film 'Secret Superstar' which will release in Turkey on 20th October.

A special meet and greet programme was held for the fans later in the day at Cinemaximum Theatres in Istanbul. The place completely buzzed and as soon as Aamir entered, it erupted with loud cheers and the fans kept chanting Aamir's name.

Afterwards, Aamir was present as the main guest on a leading TV channel of Turkey, talking about various things, from film-making to tackling social issues.

The promotional tour of Aamir Khan in Turkey has begun on a sound note, and there will be many more to follow in the coming three days as he will take part in the 'Milyoner' game show and a whole lot more.
